Over the last eight months we've been modifying a BMW M135i - it's now faster and more powerful than an M2.

In this video we explain exactly what work we've done to the M135i, then answer the big question: how does it compare to BMW's own baby M-car?

Effect on insurance and emmisions?

Half the price.. but how much was the insurance premium for all those mods, and what's it done to realworld emissions - sure it might be taxed at some rate coming out of the factory but is it going to kill us all the more easily? :p

Good question about running

Good question about running costs but the M135i has a huge upfront price advantage and if you are that worried about real world emissions you wouldn't buy an M2 either, it would be an i3 or a Zoe or a bicycle or new walking shoes.

And?

You can make anything go faster than M2. But M2 is still M2. I am not even fan of BMW (except for E46CSL and E39 M5).
